Miss Kopp Investigates - online book launch
Amy Stewart graciously skyped into our January 2020 book group meeting when we were discussing, Girl Waits with Gun. Now she is launching another book in that series and anyone can attend the launch party! This is a free event and takes place on September 16th. January 27 - Girl Waits With Gun
We also discussed what aspects of life in 1914 we wish had survived, but we had a really hard time recommending anything. (There are a lot of things we are glad are much improved principally women's rights, modern conveniences, end of child labor, and OSHA laws!) We finally decided that public transportation was better then and people were more self sufficient (but that came at a high price). For dessert we had Apple Crumb Tart with Cinnamon Cream and fresh fruit. Overall, we greatly enjoyed this meeting and the book. Many of us will be reading the rest of the series, and we'd recommend it to anyone who enjoys historical fiction.
Last meeting of 2019
We had the last book group meeting of 2019 on Monday, December 9th at 3pm. We had great weather so attendance was good! Members brought some wonderful goodies and we talked about some of our favorite book club books from the past and from 2019. Favorites included:

Our next book club meeting will be Monday, January 27th at 3pm in the library's large meeting room. We will be reading Girl Waits With Gun by Amy Stewart and we'll be visiting with the author via Skype! Copies of the book can be picked up at the LME Library circulation desk. Discussion sheets are also available for pickup or can be accessed online.
Titles for 2020
We've picked the titles for 2020, and as an added bonus this year, we will be able to talk with one of our authors! We are very fortunate to have Amy Stewart author of Girl Waits with Gun who will Skype into our meeting on January 27, 2020 at 3pm. This will allow us to talk with her and ask her questions about her book and series. Please join us for this unique book discussion!
