For some reason, I seem to have fallen behind on posting. Sorry about that! For August, we read Between You and Me by Susan Wiggs. We had 10 at book group on August 26th and everyone was very enthusiastic about the book. The book discussion guide is available here. We had peach cobbler for dessert (a la mode!)
In September, we read IQ by Joe Ide (pronounced EE-day). This one was difficult for some of the group to read since it jumps around in time, and East LA is a very different place than central Illinois. However, the two who finished the book actually read it twice--once by themselves and once for book group. Both were big fans and have read the series. The discussion sheet is available here. We had oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and brownies for refreshments.
